Beef Breeding Services (BBS) has been providing ongoing services to the cattle industry since 1962. Beef Breeding Services was originally operated by the Queensland Government from 1965 to 2013.
Family Owned Company
In 2013 Beef Breeding Services was privatised and purchased by the locally owned Tandy Group, a family business that has operated since 1968 that own and operate local businesses within North and Central Queensland.
Management

Dr Di Sorley BVSc, MBA, GCBus (Int Bus)
Chief Operating Officer
Di has degrees in Veterinary Science, a Master of Business Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in International Business. Di commenced her veterinary career working in the live cattle export industry, concurrently working as an equine reproductive veterinarian both here in Australia and in Texas, USA. She then went on to work as a technical veterinarian for Coopers Animal Health, and as a technical sales representative for both Elanco and Novartis Animal Health. After a hiatus living on a large cattle stations in the NT and western Qld raising her 2 boys and doing large animal reproduction work, Di came back to veterinary science working as an assistant for Peter Atkinson, a cattle embryo transfer veterinarian.
Di commenced with Beef Breeding Services in June 2018 and became Chief Operating Officer in January 2019. Di is focused on BBS offering additional comprehensive reproductive services for not only cattle, but also horses, goats, sheep, and dogs.

Dr Graham Stabler BVSc
Veterinary Operations
Graham commenced working in the Beef industry in 1969 and has a particular interest in beef cattle production and reproduction, having a degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland. He was a partner in a private veterinary practice for over 30 years, specialising in bull fertility, beef herd health and equine reproduction. Graham enjoys sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with all in the industry and enjoys competing in camp drafting.
Etna Creek: Collection Centre, Lab and Field Service Team

Les Kingston
Les is our Etna Creek Manager and has over 15 years’ experience in the cattle industry. Conducts and manages the Collection Centre services including Bull Collection and Semen processing, Artificial Insemination (AI), Dog Collection and semen processing, and also provides these services in the field.

Jane Smith
Jane is our Laboratory Supervisor/Technician at the Etna Creek Collection Centre, also assisting Lesley Kingston with onsite services. Conducts in field Bull, Goat and Dog Collection and semen processing.

Bruce Booth
Will manage and complete our Liquid Nitrogen runs within the Central Queensland region and also assist with collection and services at the Etna Creek Collection Centre.
